By accessing or using Don (the "Service"), operated by vector.dev LLC ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"), a California limited liability company, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). The Service is available at don.financial and through our mobile applications on the Apple App Store. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
Don is a personal finance application that connects to your bank accounts via Plaid, provides transaction tracking and categorization, spending insights, and an AI-powered financial assistant. The Service is available on the web and iOS. The Service is designed to help you understand and manage your personal finances.
By connecting your financial accounts through the Service, you authorize vector.dev LLC to act as your agent to access, retrieve, and transmit your financial account information through our third-party data providers (currently Plaid). This authorization is limited to providing the Service and does not grant us the ability to make transactions on your behalf.
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
You must provide a valid email address or phone number to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.
New users receive a 30-day free trial. You will not be charged during the trial period. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will automatically begin and you will be charged. Each user is eligible for one free trial only. If you delete your account and re-register, you will not receive a new trial.
Don offers the following subscription plans:
Your subscription automatically renews at the end of each billing period (monthly or annually) at the then-current price unless you cancel before the renewal date.
You may cancel your subscription at any time. Upon cancellation, you will retain access to the Service through the end of your current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial billing periods.
Depending on how you subscribe, your payment is processed by one of the following platforms:
The Service, including its source code, design, branding, logos, and all content created by vector.dev LLC, is the exclusive property of vector.dev LLC and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service for your personal, non-commercial financial management purposes, subject to these Terms. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Service without our prior written consent.
We may create and use aggregated, de-identified data derived from your use of the Service for any lawful business purpose, including product improvement, analytics, and benchmarking. Such data will not identify you personally.
DON IS NOT A REGISTERED INVESTMENT ADVISOR (RIA), BROKER-DEALER, OR FINANCIAL PLANNER. THE SERVICE DOES NOT PROVIDE FINANCIAL, INVESTMENT, TAX, OR LEGAL ADVICE. All tools, categorizations, insights, and AI-generated suggestions are provided for informational purposes only and may contain errors. You should not rely on the Service as a basis for making financial decisions. Always consult a qualified financial professional before making investment or financial decisions.
AI-generated insights, categorizations, and responses may contain inaccuracies or errors. You should independently verify any AI-generated information before relying on it. Don is not responsible for decisions made based on AI-generated content.
You agree not to:
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE, OR THAT ANY DATA (INCLUDING FINANCIAL DATA RETRIEVED VIA PLAID) WILL BE ACCURATE OR COMPLETE.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, VECTOR.DEV LLC'S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) $100 OR (B) THE TOTAL FEES YOU PAID TO DON IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM. IN NO EVENT SHALL VECTOR.DEV LLC BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL. VECTOR.DEV LLC IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THE SECURITY PRACTICES, DATA HANDLING, OR FAILURES OF THIRD-PARTY SERVICES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO PLAID, STRIPE, APPLE, AND ANTHROPIC.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless vector.dev LLC and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any third party's rights; or (d) any content you submit through the Service.
Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules. Arbitration shall take place in Los Angeles, California. The arbitrator's decision shall be final and binding.
You agree that any dispute resolution proceedings will be conducted only on an individual basis and not in a class, consolidated, or representative action. You waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration.
Notwithstanding the above, either party may bring an individual action in small claims court for disputes within the court's jurisdictional limits.
You may opt out of the arbitration agreement by sending written notice to hello@don.financial within 30 days of first accepting these Terms. Your notice must include your name, email address, and a clear statement that you wish to opt out of arbitration.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service for violation of these Terms or for any other reason with 30 days' prior notice, except where we reasonably believe your account is involved in fraud, abuse, or illegal activity, in which case we may terminate immediately. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.
When you delete your account, your financial data (transactions, bank connections, categories, budgets, and goals) is permanently deleted immediately. Your email address and subscription record are retained to prevent trial abuse and to allow re-registration. Any active subscription is canceled immediately upon account deletion. For subscriptions through Apple, you must also cancel through your Apple ID settings to stop billing.
If you access the Service through an application downloaded from the Apple App Store, the following additional terms apply:
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of laws provisions.
We may modify these Terms at any time. For material changes, we will notify you via email at least 30 days before the changes take effect. We will also post the updated Terms on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the Service before they take effect.
If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permissible, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
